CONFESSION #1 : HOW I SPENT MY WEEKEND
On Friday evening I got more drunk than intended and wearing my hardest to walk in platform shoes... I tripped and BROKE MY TWO FRONT TEETH. Saturday was spent re-couperating, freaking out, and trying to decide where to take my busted grill considering I have limited fund$ and no health insurance. I found out that the NYU School of Dentistry on 24th Street does dental work at reduced rates and so I went in Sunday morning for some emergency repair work. Miraculously, all I needed (for now - I may need crowns later) was compound fillings. The whole thing took about 2 hours and cost $240. I cannot express my relief.

3 things
1. I am going to start posting again, regularly, using my phone to add photos wherever I am and make notes - like a journal. Starting now.
2. Halloween is over but I can't stop watching horror movies, I've been on a kick lately. Next up is the remake of Amityville Horror with Ryan Reynolds. I didn't know it existed until I accidentally found it while lazily surfing the internet this morning/afternoon.
3. After reading Slouching Towards Bethlehem and falling completely in love with Joan Didion, I am now reading The Year of Magical Thinking. It makes me want to cry/die constantly. Seriously, this book is so heartbreakingly honest and just plain sad I don't know if I can get all of the way through it (though I will certainly try). Life makes you lonely.
